I’m back this week, after being told I’m going to be fired if I don’t do another bad news. I told him I don’t like bringing people down. But who am I kidding, I love it. Ha ha ha. So this week isn’t much, some X-Box news and Some bad business moves. So lets get started.
Here is a bit of info on THQ and the UFC that bothers me a little. There was a fighter that got dropped by the UFC’s Dana White for not signing an agreement to use his likeness and name forever for the upcoming UFC games. He just didn’t want to sign up for ever. The fighter, Jon Fitch, had this to say about it “I’m more than willing to work with them, but I don’t see why we have to give up our whole lives for this. Why not a time limit? If we did a 10-year deal with them, is that that unreasonable? I don’t understand how this happened, honestly. It’s tough”. Isn’t that just a little harsh. I can’t believe that because a guy does not want to be apart of a video game the rest of his life you kick him out of what he loves to do. It wasn’t even just him. Another fighter named Christian Wellisch also got the ax. On a brighter note, Jon Fitch did end up signing the deal, though I do not know about Christian Wellisch. I guess you will do what ever it takes to do what you really want to do. I boo Dana White for his bad reasoning skills. If you want to see the trailer to of game click here.

Moving along with the X-box, just few things with them. As you already know the NXE is doing great. I had a chance to play with it, but there are some problems. Installing the games to the hard drive is a good idea but here is just some games that won’t install. The list is small at the moment, as six games have been found so far. Big Bumpin’, College Hoops 2k7, Pocket Bike, RacersSneak King, Crackdown, and Dead or Alive Xtreme 2. The worst one in the list has to be DOAx2.

This NXE piece of news is also X-Box related, but it’s Sony’s doing. You all know that you can watch movies on x-box with Netflix, but there are a lot of movies that you can’t watch on the X-box that are still available in Netflix. Well over a hundred titles, all of which are Columbia Pictures, which is owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment, are unavailble in the 360’s Netflix area. This is the most retarded thing I have heard. You can still watch those moves on your PC or TV, but just can’t get them throught the X-Box? This little war between Sony and X-box is getting old. I think Sony is now just being selfish. This is one war that really should stop. There can be no gain from petty fighting. If they were kids, I would spank them both and make them apolgize to each other. However, it seems that this is not something that is specifically affecting 360 users. Sony’s official statement is as follows: “This issue is not specific to Xbox or any other individual platform, Sony Pictures is currently in discussions with the relevant parties to resolve certain licensing matters related to the distribution of its motion pictures. Given the ongoing nature of these discussions, we don’t think it is appropriate to comment further at this time.”

Ah, what a good day. The sun is up. The birds are singing. The DSi came out in Japan just yesterday… It’s going to be a great day! Wait, what is today? It’s Sunday? Oh no, that means no good news, ’cause it’s Bad News Sunday!

First up: Guitar Hero World Tour. The problem with World Tour is the under-sensitive drum kits. So you really have to beat the shit out of them to get them to read. Not good, but Activision and RedOctane have come up with a semi-solution. A 10MB PC application, which features a simple interface, will allow you to assign a sensitivity level from 1-20 for each pad and the pedal. Thats good and all, but you’ll also need a MIDI to USB cable. I know that not a lot of people have one, but there is a silver lining for you; the program will ship with a free MIDI to USB cable! As for Mac users, you’re out of luck. The only official word I can give you is to buy/borrow a PC. But, here’s an idea. How about an update that’ll allow the tuning in the game, or at least from the system OS, and for those who don’t have internet, simply replace their instruments.
On a side note for PS3 GH:WT. Your drums will not work with Rock Band 1 or 2. Here is a link to see an instrument compatibility chart.

The Xbox 360 is close to launching NXE (thats New Xbox Experience) on November 19th, But if your one of the people trying to find it early, and it is possible, I wouldn’t advise it. Unless you to be kicked off Xbox Live until the actual release date. So think twice before you get it early. It is just a couple weeks away. Not to mention, you may get baned from Live for your impatience. Haven’t heard of any one getting the boot yet for good, but that danger is still there. But, if you’d like, you can find it on the internet, and let us know November 19th.

The DSi has some bad news too, if youre a homebrew user, that is. Those handy little flash cards will make your new DSi crash, as soon as it loads. Of course we know Nintendo, and its developers, are trying to stop game piracy. This however, puts any legitimate Homebrew developers at a loss. This, I’m sure, will be fixed fairly soon, with the DSi having a SD slot on it. So never fear, those hackers are most likely at work already. With any luck they will crack it by the time DSi hits the states.

Finally for the Wii; things are going great, but for anyone looking to get a Wii this Christmas it’s bad. Nintendo still can’t make enough Wiis. even though their production is up by 33% this last year. I think it put a foot in the mouth of those who said the Wii is a trend. Sure, it has many titles that just suck, but the games that are good blow others away.

thats all for this week. try not to let your self down with this. Keep in mind this is just the dark side of the news. So ’till next time, signing out, your friend, Poot.
