FTC wants you!

It seems the Federal Trade Commission wants to know what all you peoples think about DRM. That’s Digital Rights Management. It’s whats used to keep pirates away from legitimate copies of music, games and moves (primarily), but ends up being an annoyance to the people who aren’t all “Yarr!”. So, they’ve created a comment form, so any Joe Schmo can put in their two cents. All of this will be discussed in person in late March in Seattle, Washington in the form of a Town Hall Meeting, but if you can’t make it, be sure to submit the internet form by January 30th. If you want to voice your opinion, please keep in mind that this will be for a real discussion on the topic, and anything you say will be available to the public. So don’t release any personal information, or ack like a dumb ass. The FTC says “Among other issues, the workshop will address the need to improve disclosures to consumers about DRM limitations. Interested parties may submit written comments or original research on this topic”. So keep it on topic. :)
