bad news Sunday 3

Ah man, so Gears of War 2 and Resistance 2 both came out this week. let me tell you about those games. They are totally …… “Wait hey Dabean What is today”
“um I think it’s Sunday, why?”
Oh that sucks, I was going to tell everyone about the new games this week, but it’s Sunday. Which means that will have to wait, ’cause it’s Bad News Sunday.

Alright then where to start? Let’s see. Well let’s start with Activision. With the release of GH:WT, and its create-a-song and Guitar Hero World Tour’s GH Tunes service. Which is doing really well with around 25,000 users. With that many users, Activision has turned greedy. The plan is to turn it into a subscription form. I say they are just trying to make more money by sucking it out of us any way possible. There is what the CEO of Activision, Bobby Kotick, has said “The ability to offer these songs on a subscription basis may very well result in the newest subscription opportunity in our portfolio”. so what do you think? Just an evil way to get money, is what I say.

Since we’re on the subject of rhythm games. Rock Band2 is out for the Xbox 360, and PS3. Where is the Wii you ask? Well it was going to hit the Wii in December, but according to the Official website, It will come out in January 5th. even though places like Wall-Mart, Best Buy, and GameStop still have signs that say out in December. It would be nice if we could get a straight answer. Hopefully there are no more delays on this. Here is what Harmonix community manager, Sean Baptiste, has said “We have hit an unexpected delay with getting the content online with Microsoft and are working diligently with them to get that resolved. We have suspended sending out the token codes until the content becomes available. Sending out the codes before the content is live will just result in more confusion. We hope to have this resolved in the next 24 hours and apologize profusely for the delay. We’re also working with Sony to get the content up on PS3 and the codes out. More on that as information becomes available.”
Also the free songs that we were told we would have for download, almost two months ago. have been delayed yet again. Thats really not that bad, but only cause we have waited this long.

Ok, moving on with the PC Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3. This game hits selves on October 28, but there seems to be a big problem with the install key need to even start the game. It seems that instead of the 20 digit code they only have 19. What, did the typer get to high and space the last one out? Well, what ever happened has messed up a few people. The C&C support team has a solution to this, though. Pick a button (any button) if it doesn’t work try again. You might think I’m joking, but I assure you, it’s true. Here is what they will tell you. There is currently a work around that may allow you to bypass this issue. Since you have the first 19 characters of the code already, you can basically try “guessing” the last character. To do this, simply enter your existing code, and then for the last character, try the letters A-Z, and then the numbers 0-9. You should eventually get the right combination, and be able to play the game. Ok, ok, that is the most retarded thing I’ve ever heard. But hey, it does get you around the issue.

Here is some small news, and only applies to some people. In the new game Banjo-Kazooie Nuts&Blots. There is a text based problem. It’s to small and blurry to even read. This is only on a Standard Definition TVs. With there being no voices and the text tell you what to do, it can be a huge problem for SDTV owners. When this problem was first announced they said “I’m sorry that we weren’t able to address this issue as nothing would please us more than turning all your complaints into gleeful responses, but it’s simply something that’s too expensive in terms of time, resources and money to alter.” That was a bad move I think, but a few days latter they changed tunes. On the site Banjo Blog, they said this, “It has come to our attention that people are experiencing subtitle [dialogue text] readability issues with Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts on Standard Definition TVs. We would like to assure you that contrary to earlier reports, we are aware of the issue and currently working on a title update to be released within the next 30 days that will fix it for those with Standard Definition TVs. We’re committed to ensuring all fans of the franchise are able to have the best experience possible with Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.” so even though it started bad it all ends well.

Here is where I stop trying to bring you down. I’ll see you all next week Your friend Poot
